EDUCATION
THE DAR’S COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION
Education is one of the cornerstones of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Since its founding, the NSDAR has worked to promote learning, encourage academic achievement, and open doors of opportunity for students of all ages.
At the national level, the organization supports a wide range of scholarships and awards, funding millions of dollars annually to help students pursue higher education. Members also recognize excellence through essay contests, awards for outstanding students, and programs that highlight civic responsibility and good citizenship.
Locally, chapters play a vital role in advancing education by partnering with schools, providing classroom resources, and supporting literacy initiatives. By fostering education, the individual chapters help to ensure that the next generation is prepared to lead, serve, and carry forward the values that shape our nation. Visit the NSDAR website for more information about Education.

OHIO HISTORY MINUTE
In each issue of the Jacob Gaskins Chapter, NSDAR, newsletter, the chapter regent includes an Ohio History Minute. This educational section includes mini-features on notable people and events in Ohio history. These tidbits of information help to advance the chapter’s educational efforts.
