HISTORIC PRESERVATION
THE DAR’S COMMITMENT TO HISTORIC PRESERVATION
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) is deeply committed to preserving the places, documents, and stories that shaped our nation. Through projects at the national, state, and chapter levels, members work to ensure that America’s history remains accessible for future generations.
Historic preservation has been at the heart of the NSDAR mission since its founding in 1890. Chapters across the country dedicate countless volunteer hours to restoring historic landmarks, conserving historic documents, and supporting museums, libraries, and archives. DAR members also research, mark, and maintain the graves of Revolutionary War Patriots, ensuring that their sacrifices are never forgotten. Visit the NSDAR website to learn more about Historic Preservation.

OVERLOOKED PATRIOTS
A new effort has been established by the NSDAR to focus on identifying overlooked patriots, including women and minorities. The regent of the Jacob Gaskins Chapter, NSDAR, has been appointed as a liaison for Ohio’s effort, representing the Northeastern District.
