Inaugural Leadership Team to Guide North Canton’s Newest DAR Chapter in Preserving History, Prioritizing Education, and Promoting Patriotism

The inaugural officers of the Jacob Gaskins Chapter of the NSDAR -

During the organizational meeting of the Jacob Gaskins Chapter, NSDAR, the inaugural officers were installed.


North Canton, OH — The Jacob Gaskins Chapter, NSDAR, has officially named its inaugural officers, marking an important milestone in the chapter’s establishment in Stark County.

Leading the chapter is Regent Stephanie Martin Shively. Supporting her leadership are Vice President Staci Gurney, Treasurer Robin Miller, Recording Secretary Missie Gardner, Corresponding Secretary Allison (Alli) Gurney, Registrar Brenda Wahl, and Chaplain Marikay Colbert.

The newly appointed officers will guide the chapter in fulfilling the DAR’s mission of promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and supporting education and community initiatives.

The Jacob Gaskins Chapter, NSDAR, honors the legacy of its namesake, Jacob Gaskins, an influential local figure who contributed to the community and supported the Underground Railroad, while providing a platform for women to engage in genealogy, historic preservation, and civic service.
