North Canton, OH — The members of the Jacob Gaskins Chapter, NSDAR, came together in April to support RAHAB Ministries through a collection drive benefiting local women impacted by human trafficking and exploitation.
In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), chapter members donated a variety of personal care items and monetary contributions to assist the ministry’s ongoing outreach efforts. Donations included 16 bottles of shampoo and conditioner, six tubes of toothpaste, eight soap and body wash items, two deodorants, three bottles of lotion, and $150 in cash and gift cards to Marc’s and Target.
RAHAB Ministries, which stands for Reaching Above Hopelessness and Brokenness, provides critical support services in the Canton area through programs including Street Outreach, Jail Ministry, Drop-In Homes, Mentoring, and Training and Education initiatives.
The collected items were delivered to the organization’s Canton drop-in home, which offers weekday family-style meals, hygiene supplies, clothing, showers, and additional resources for women in need.
Individuals interested in learning more about their genealogy or membership in the NSDAR should contact the chapter.
